Amy Hadfield currently works as a receptionist at the Gower Nursery located near the Prevista offices in Kings Cross. Amy has GCSE qualifications, but wanted to gain more knowledge and experience within her receptionist role.
Amy understood that through gaining more knowledge she would be given more opportunities to gain further responsibilities at work. After being referred to Prevista Amy was enrolled onto a L2 Business Administration Apprenticeship.
Initially at the start of her course Amy lacked confidence in gaining new responsibilities in the workplace. She felt stressed when given multiple tasks to complete. However, with the close support and motivation provided by Prevista’s assessor, Sebastian Chambers, Amy gained the confidence to fulfil her tasks effectively. Supported by three way discussions between herself, Sebastian and her employer, as well as regular 1:1 progress reviews, Amy was able to progress and this contributed to her receiving a pay rise at the end of her Apprenticeship in reflection of her taking on more responsibilities at work.
The confidence provided by Prevista’s provision has benefited Amy’s skills and confidence considerably – she is now considering completing her L3 Business Administration Apprenticeship.
