Following the arrangements of a new apprenticeship levy, Prevista are seeking to expand its Skills Division. We are searching for ambitious, Learner focused Tutor/Assessors with Internal Quality Assurers (IQA’s) experience to join our existing team to reach the government’s target of delivering three million apprenticeships by 2020.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person, who is friendly and approachable. You will need to have a minimum of 2 years’ occupational competency in one of the following: Health and Social Care (Adults), Children Young People’s Workforce (CYPW) & Early Years Educator (EYE) Cleaning and Support Services, Team Leading, Management & Business Administration.

JOB PURPOSE:  

To engage and support learners to achieve qualifications in a timely manner.  To provide a qualitative blended learning experience in teaching, learning and assessment.

JOB ROLE:

  • Demonstrate competence through qualifications and occupational experience across the full suite of apprenticeship qualifications to be delivered.
  • Manage own caseload effectively using OneFile e-portfolio to give learners a quality learning experience from their starting point to timely completion.
  • Respond to learner queries in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring regular contact is maintained for the full duration of the learner journey and qualification.
  • Carry out a robust induction and initial assessment using a Skill Scan and Numeracy & Literacy check with supporting IAG; clearly establishing the correct level and qualification a learner should be taking.
  • Ensure the Individual Learning Plan is maintained and updated regularly.
  • Follow TAQA and QCF code of practice to ensure a quality learner journey is made available to all learners.
  • Follow guidance with regards to teaching, learning and assessment practice and the completion of paperwork, ensuring relevant documentation is used. Respond to feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Use technology to teach learners – online tools, interactive sessions, webinars, remote learning interactive learning platforms.
  • Ensure that anyone else involved in the assessment process gives their consent, especially where this may mean intrusion into areas of privacy and confidentiality.
  • Attend regular standardisation/team meetings to ensure consistency with other assessors and Internal Quality Assurers
  • Undertake continuous professional development activities as agreed by the Head of Quality.
  • Follow and act on any guidance given by the Head of Quality and IQA’s.
  • Ensure that the learner is fully aware of current legislation relating to them and their assessment; maintain compliance with ‘Safe learner’ requirements.
  • Undertake any other duties as and when required

 

CANDIDATE SKILLS:

  • Minimum 2 years of delivering full Apprenticeship training programmes in an Ofsted 2 years minimum experience of Apprenticeship and Functional Skills led training programmes – essential
  • Relevant QCF Assessor qualifications – e.g., D32/A1 Assessor – essential
  • D34/V1 Internal Verifiers/Internal Quality Assurer – desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills – essential
  • Ability to manage day to day relationship with learners – essential
  • Excellent communication skills – essential
  • Provide weekly/monthly reports as required for timely completion of learners – essential
  • Co-ordinate the recruitment of learners with Employer Engagement Staff and other employer engagement functions in the business – essential
  • IAG qualification – preferable
  • Excellent attention to detail – essential
