What is a Skills Broker?
Our Skills Brokers are professional, SFEDI accredited independent advisers who have in depth knowledge of their industry specific sectors and far reaching networks.  Skills Brokers are supported by funding from the LSC which means they do not have a bias to any particular Training Provider, so you will receive impartial advice.

How does the service work?
When you the employer express an interest in the Train to Gain service a Skills Broker is the first person you will speak with.  The Skills Broker will meet with you to look at your business from a holistic approach.  The Skills Broker will discuss where you want to take your business and advise you on relevant support networks which you can tap into.  Together you then look at your staff and their learning and development needs. 

The Skills Broker sources this training on your behalf and provides three Training Providers for you to choose from and if you decide to proceed will then put you in touch with your particular choice.  The Training Provider will then contact you to arrange the training dates. 

At no point does the Skills Broker leave the loop, they continue to be on hand to check you are happy with the training and advise on any additional organisational needs you may have.

They have strong long term relationships with key stakeholders, such as the Sector Skills Councils, Further Education Colleges and Trade Associations keeping their fingers on the information pulse within these specialist sectors.
