PRO-EARTH

Prevista’s Business Navigator Growth Hub exists to signpost small businesses and startups to the vital support they need to survive and grow. Based in Shoreham-by-Sea on the Sussex coast, our team of expert Business Support Navigators have an in-depth knowledge of the diverse Coast to Capital region, which stretches to Croydon in the North, Mole Valley in the East, Lewes in the west and also encompasses bustling Brighton & Hove and rural West Sussex.

Deeply ingrained in the business community, our Business Support Navigators are able to support the businesses that are the lifeblood of one of the UK’s most prosperous regions, and integral to the growth of the whole country.

One example is the innovative SME, Pro-Earth which operates in the environmental conservation space; a key growth sector not only in the region but across the UK. Pro-Earth develop and distribute products which soak up contaminants to make dirty water clean, make poisoned land safe and to keep our domestic drainage systems running free and clear.

Claire Atkinson, one of Prevista’s Senior Business Support Navigators met husband-and-wife team Alex and Nick Addison, at Basepoint Crawley’s business clinic in 2015. At the time they were in the process of starting up and were looking for general business support and advice around grants and funding within the environmental sector. Claire signposted Alex and Nick to the wide range of support available and helped guide them towards the most appropriate services.

The signposting and support Alex and Nick have received from Prevista has had a demonstrable impact on their ability to startup, access finance and pursue leads that will help cement their position as a growing environmental business. Claire explains:

“The impact of the support has been very positive in every area. Pro-Earth is now aware of what is available to them as an environmental start up business. They have taken full advantage of many of the networking opportunities and events offered by Green Growth Platform and have made some valuable contacts. Specifically, after a meeting with Green Growth Platform, Alex is being mentored by Amanda Geel in the writing of a business plan that will form part of an application for a Coast to Capital grant and future funding / grant applications. Moreover, I notified Pro-Earth of a potential project opportunity that Southern Water are rolling out; it has resulted in an extremely positive meeting for them, which could open up a whole new and valuable revenue stream throughout the UK water industry”.
