Success Story - Barbara

tell us about you

My dream is to be a teacher. I passed my Bachelor's of Commerce in the year 1992 in India, Goa. I fell in love with a young handsome lad and was married in 1995. Being a housewife and a mother of two sons felt I was complete.

In 2019, my eldest son said to me ‘Mom you deserve something much more than you are today’. That is the first time I heard a voice within me and a fire reignited within. I realised many years had flown by and my children had grown into fine adults. It was now time for me to work towards my goals.

So here I am working towards my goals. I am now an apprentice at Hanwell Montessori Nursery.

tell us about your APPRENTICESHIP experience?

My teachers at West London College and my present Prevista e-learning team whom I have been in contact with since the start have been informative and supportive. I have gained confidence in myself and have been less anxious.

WHAT ARE YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS?

My achievements are I am passionate to learn more and more. I adapt to any opportunity and can fit myself anywhere.

The communication and bonding I have with the children and the Hanwell team is amazing. The compliments and feedback I get from my Manager, Deputy Manager,

parents and carers are positive and seeing a smile on the children's faces takes me one step ahead towards

my dreams.

I love to celebrate children's work by the proud cloud display. The children love it and it boosts their confidence in bringing out their ability.

ANY FURTHER COMMENTS?

I love and enjoy my work and study. I want to say ‘thank you’ to the Prevista e-learning team and a big thank you to Victoria who is my tutor. She is amazing in the way she makes me feel so comfortable and sheltered.

I celebrated 25 years of my marriage on 9 August 2020.

Please remember, it is NEVER too late to learn!!
