When Amerjeet started on the course, she was a nursery nurse working under her room leader. Amerjeet lacked confidence in some areas; however, she had some fantastic ideas on how the baby room should be run.

Amerjeet was allowed to become the room leader, after some discussions with both her setting and tutor Victoria. During an observation, Victoria gave her some guidance on how to guide her staff and different strategies to do so. They regularly discussed issues she was confronted with and discussed various ways to resolve this firmly but fairly.

Amerjeet has primarily grown her skills and has learned how to balance the different task in her room, and what jobs she can and should be delegating to other which has left her feeling more relaxed and running the place well. Amerjeet has also received great feedback from both her setting and the parents.
