Changes to apprenticeship funding for SME employers

The ESFA is soon going to be changing the way apprenticeships are funded for SMEs. These employers will receive their funding directly through access to the online Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) which is currently only available to large levy employers.

Through the new apprenticeship service SME employers will be able to:
- Manage their apprenticeship funding
- Select a suitable apprenticeship standard and an end-point assessment organisation
- Advertise an apprenticeship for free
- Select a suitable provider to deliver their apprenticeship training
- Provide government with apprenticeship demand data to ensure a valuable apprenticeship market place
The ESFA has not yet fine-tuned all the details as they are analysing results from a trial with a handful of employers but the changes are expected to come out this month. Prevista is fortunate to have taken part in this trial with some of our employers which puts us is in a unique position to provide experienced support for SMEs when the changes come into effect nationwide.

You can find more information here which will continue to be updated as and when information is released. Alternatively please contact one of our Account Managers on 020 7609 4198 to find out how these changes may affect you or to get support to register on DAS.
