JAIME

Jaime was working at a local nursey when her Manager suggested she would benefit from being supported in her efforts to gain a Level 3 accreditation in Childcare. Jaime was put in touch with her local training provider, Prevista Ltd, and undertook working with her dedicated assessor, Manuela Roch immediately.

Jaime commented that Manuela was very supportive form the start and this contributed hugely to her gaining her accreditation successfully, commenting ‘Manuela not only provided great motivation and teaching, but also went above and beyond with the support she provided for me – she would support me at weekends and would provide additional teaching at the Prevista offices to ensure I continued to stay on track’.

Jaime went onto complete her qualification successfully and continued to make good progress at work – however, when a job opportunity came up at Prevista, Jaime considered the excellence of the support provided for her and successfully applied for the post. Since then Jaime has hugely impressed her Line Manager, Prevista’s Head of Quality (Karly Lattimore) and both her employers and learners with her skill and dedication. Jaime has been thrilled with her progress at Prevista but is quick to compliment the rest of the team who have helped her on her journey, ‘My progress can be put down to the team culture here at Prevista – my IV (Rebecca Gurley) gave me a thorough induction which enabled me to plan my work over a long period of time and my line manager (Ros Obong) has given me ambitious targets, but provided really positive wraparound support which has enabled me to hit these. I was able to ‘shadow’ some of my Assessor colleagues which provided an invaluable insight to the way Prevista works with our Learners, and having access to training courses on new initiatives such as British Values has given me great help for delivering the best service I can to my learners.

Jaime’s service to her learners is best illustrated by the praise given to her by her employer’s staff including Mrs Vlora Arifi, Manager at Little Jewels Pre School, who commented. ‘Ever since Jamie has started working with Little Jewels Pre-school, my staff’s learning/knowledge has increased as well as their work being completed. I am very pleased with Jamie and her ethic towards work. She always keeps me up to date with the girl’s learning, always contacts me in advance to arrange visits at the setting, as well as during her visit being flexible to see other students too and answer all of my questions.

I wish that Jamie will continue to work at Prevista and in return, my staff will complete their training and maybe in the future other member of staff will also take part in teaching conducted by Jaime.
