KAEKWONDO

Prevista Business Navigator Growth Hub exists to signpost small businesses and startups to the vital support they need to survive and grow. Based in Shoreham-by-Sea on the Sussex coast, our team of expert Business Support Navigators have an in-depth knowledge of the diverse Coast to Capital region, which stretches to Croydon in the North, Mole Valley in the East, Lewes in the west and also encompasses bustling Brighton & Hove and rural West Sussex.
Deeply ingrained in the business community, our Business Support Navigators are able to support the businesses that are the lifeblood of one of the UK’s most prosperous regions, and integral to the growth of the whole country.

Kaekwondo Ltd is a mobile app development company set up in February 2015 and founded by John Hardman. John first encountered Prevista’s Business Navigator Growth Hub service when the Startup Britain Bus Tour visited Brighton in July 2015. Keen to get out and assist and support new startups, Prevista’s Business Navigators attended this event with the intention of making contact with early stage entrepreneurs requiring support.

As founder of a very new startup, John had a wide variety of questions for Prevista’s Business Navigator Marsha Robert. Marsha recalls:

“Like most startup entrepreneurs John had an idea of the business support available but was finding it tricky to navigate the wealth of support that exists in the Coast to Capital Region. I signposted John to the most appropriate sources of support that could assist such an early stage startup, including UKTI, Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership, Wired Sussex and Entrepreneurial Spark.”.

Subsequently, John was accepted into the February 2016 intake for Entrepreneurial Spark to help develop his mobile app product further. He has also been in touch with the University of Brighton to discuss graduate internship placements and support for businesses. Likewise, John is registered with Wired Sussex and has found their resources and events to be very helpful for networking and finding like-minded businesses. With his key questions answered, and a growing network of other entrepreneurs and supporting organisations, Kaekwondo is well prepared for the transition from development to release and on-going operations.
