She was working in Society Links Community Hub E1, a community- based hub, which primary aim is to create links with residents and key stakeholders of Tower Hamlets to build partnerships and a sustainable social enterprise.

Rahima built upon skills and knowledge due to her commendable diligence and commitment to learning. Also through working with her team to recruit volunteers for community projects and helping to organise community cohesion programmes and extensive summer programmes packed full of a vast variety of engaging activities sourced from local links: First Aid, Family Fun Day, Community BBQ, Youth Clubs- including workshops on topical issues such as Smoking, Friendships, Personal safety, Substance Misuse.

Rahima, with the active encouragement and support of her manager and tutor Anon, is now developing successful funding proposals to secure funding for future community projects. For example, she has progressed from just attending higher-level meetings with key external stakeholders, to presenting comprehensive bids, that Rahima admits ‘a little foreboding at first.’

Her manager is full of praise for Rahima’s hard work and invaluable contributions to the overall objectives of this worthy and beneficial enterprise to support residents of Tower Hamlets.
