Amir is a student who had a negative experience with education.

He lacked confidence however it was apparent that he wanted to do better in life. As I understood many of Amir’s socio-economic barriers to success both academically and professionally. A substantial amount of time was dedicated to building his confidence and self-belief.

Through our employability skills lessons. Amir was amazed to learn the endless skills and qualities he possessed and how much in demand they were. In only eight weeks since starting the programme, Amir has passed his Level 1 Health and Safety exam and also gained his Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) certificate. He is only a week away from completing his Level 2 Employability course and sitting his Functional Skills Exam, which I am confident he will pass.

Amir is currently eager to start his work placement so he can prove to himself, his family and his employer what he is truly capable of doing.
