DENA

Dena decided to do the Level 2 Children and Young Person’s Workforce apprenticeship to help her gain more occupational competence and eventually progress in her career.

Dena suffered from anxiety throughout her course which caused her to fall quite far behind in her work.

Leyla, Dena’s tutor, has been able to gain some insight into Dena’s role in her workplace by completing a detailed witness testimony as well as working closely with her manager. This has enabled Leyla to give her tailored support. With regular visits and regular contact, Leyla has been able to get Dena back on track – firstly with her Functional Skills and then with her main qualification.

Dena is looking forward to continuing her work in childcare, putting her new skills and knowledge into practise and one day hopes to become a room leader.
